MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS MANAGER, Gemini Air Cargo, August 96 - Present

Responsible for the technical and administrative management of 10 installed MS Windows NTAS servers. Currently leading effort to appraise and redesign network stability and integrity, to include segmentation of servers for more reliable network access. Responsible for acquisition, configuration and support of all desktop systems and peripherals, application installations and upgrades. Administer workstations under multiple platforms, including DOS, Windows, Windows for Workgroups, Windows 95, Windows 98 and NT Workstation. Implemented Citrix Metaframe remote dial-in application Server and hardware to provide a remote access solution for users. Manage three segments on a private I/P network for Internet access through a Proxy server and two wan sites and Two public I/P network address.  Responsible for disseminating network and software update information, coordinating PC maintenance, and initiating policies and procedures for an onsite Help Desk. Supervise hiring and duties of contractors.

OFFICE TECHNOLOGIES SPECIALIST, Booz·Allen & Hamilton, June 93 - August 96

Responsible for the technical and administrative management of seven installed MS LAN Manager and Windows NTAS servers. Currently leading effort to appraise and redesign network stability and integrity, to include segmentation of servers for more reliable network access. Responsible for acquisition, configuration and support of all desktop systems and peripherals, application installations and upgrades, allocating a capital budget of $150K. Administer workstations under multiple platforms, including DOS, Windows, Windows for Workgroups, Windows 95 beta site, HP-Unix, and Macintosh System 7.X Recently evaluated remote dial-in applications and hardware to provide a remote access solution for users. Manage seven segments (1275 IPaddresses) of a Class B license for Internet access. Responsible for System 75 telephone installations, changes, moves and deletions, hardware and software upgrades. Provide extensive end user support, including individual training sessions, disseminating network and software update information, coordinating PC maintenance, and initiating policies and procedures for an onsite Help Desk. Supervise hiring and duties of one network technician. Produce long distance telephone billing reports for 300 employee extensions.

NOVELL NETWORK/GUI ADMINISTRATOR, COMSYS Technical Services, Inc., Jan 1992 - June 93.

Administered Novell LAN networks and servers throughout six office locations in Rockville, Phoenix, Raleigh, Atlanta, Denver, and Dallas. Performance tuned and customized all Novell operating systems to meet user needs. Analyzed software and hardware requirements requested by each remote office. Researched multimedia video capture hardware and applications for corporate presentations. Provided user setup, hardware and software installation, maintenance, network troubleshooting, user training, system backup and software customization for individual users. Maintained electronic mail, communications software, and headquarters telephone system and voice mail. Handled Help Desk requests for support and service on information technology-related issues.

Provided sole support for 35 Virginia zone clients in PC and Novell environments. Installed, maintained, and upgraded networks and file servers for 550 PC nodes across service area. Experience includes airborne operations, depot level maintenance training conducted at Tobyhanna Military Depot. Attend unit meetings one weekend each month and two weeks each summer.
